What types of NDIS support does TASCare Services provide?

How do I start receiving services with TASCare?

Getting started is simple. If you have an approved NDIS plan, contact us to schedule an obligation-free consultation. We will review your plan, discuss your goals, and quickly set up a Service Agreement to begin delivering the support you need promptly.

Does TASCare assist with high-intensity or complex support needs?

Yes, we specialise in complex care. TASCare Services is fully registered and our staff are highly trained to deliver High-Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA). This ensures you receive safe, quality support for complex health needs like complex bowel care, wound management, and PEG feeding.

How much NDIS funding will I receive in my plan?

The NDIA determines your funding amount based on what they deem to be ‘reasonable and necessary’ to achieve your goals. They assess factors like your age, disability, functional impairment, and current level of informal support.

Who is a Support Coordinator, and do I need one?

A Support Coordinator helps you understand and implement your funded supports, and connects you with service providers and community resources. While not mandatory, they are invaluable for linking services and ensuring you get the most out of your plan. TASCare can work directly with your coordinator or help link you with one.

Why might my NDIS application be unsuccessful?

An application may be unsuccessful if the NDIA determines you do not meet the core eligibility criteria (age, residency, permanence of disability) or if your required supports are the responsibility of other government systems (e.g., Health, Education). TASCare can provide advice on eligibility.

How will I receive my final, approved NDIS plan?

You will receive notification from the NDIS via your preferred method (usually email or letter) letting you know your new plan is active. The plan document is typically available to view on the NDIS myPlace portal shortly after approval.

What happens to my support once I turn 65?

If you are already an NDIS participant when you turn 65, you have a choice: you can elect to continue receiving support through the NDIS or transition to the Commonwealth Aged Care system. TASCare Services can support you regardless of your choice.
